Livar Spareribs come from the Limburg pig, also known as Livar. This pig breed is famous for its excellent meat quality, which makes the meat particularly tasty and tender. Livar pigs are kept in an animal-friendly way and are fed natural food, which results in a meat with a rich, pure taste and fine marbling of fat.
The Livar Spareribs have a perfect balance between meat and fat, which ensures juicy and tender ribs that can be cooked wonderfully slowly.

The spare ribs are ideal for the barbecue, in the oven or for slow cooking, and can be seasoned with your favorite marinades or rubs.
1. Preparation
Rub the spare ribs the night before with a dry rub of spices such as paprika powder, brown sugar, garlic powder, and salt.
2. Yarn
Wrap the spareribs in aluminum foil and bake them in the oven for 2.5 hours at 150°C. Then remove the foil and bake them for another 15-20 minutes at 200°C to make the ribs nice and crispy.
3. Serving
Livar Spareribs are a great choice for an informal meal, for example at a barbecue or during a cozy family dinner. Serve them with classic BBQ dishes such as coleslaw, corn on the cob, or potato salad. A fresh salad or grilled vegetables also go perfectly with the rich flavor of the spareribs.
