Lamb shoulder with bone - Dutch
This Dutch lamb shoulder with bone is cut from the front of the lamb, with the shoulder blade still intact. The bone gives off extra flavour during cooking, which makes for a juicy and intensely flavoured piece of meat. This piece of meat is ideal for slow preparations, such as slow cooking or stewing in the oven.

1. Seasoning and searing
Season the meat with salt, pepper and rosemary. Brown it in a roasting pan until a nice crust forms.
2. Yarn
Cook for 4-5 hours on a low temperature (120-150°C)*.
*The cooking time is an indication and depends on the thickness of the piece of meat.
3. Serving
Serve with a spicy gravy and roasted vegetables such as courgette and peppers. A glass of red wine completes the dish
