New Zealand Bone-in Leg of Lamb is a flavoursome and succulent piece of lamb, sourced from grass-fed lambs. The bone-in provides extra flavour during cooking, keeping the meat wonderfully tender. This leg of lamb is ideal for slow cooking, roasting or barbecuing and is a favourite for festive dinners and family meals.

1. Seasoning and searing
Rub the leg of lamb with salt, pepper, garlic and fresh herbs such as rosemary and thyme. Heat a pan with a dash of oil and fry the leg of lamb on high heat until it gets a golden brown crust
2. Yarn
For a juicy result, the leg of lamb can be slowly cooked in the oven at 160°C to a core temperature of approximately 55-60°C for pink and 65-70°C for medium. This takes an average of 1.5 to 2 hours*
*The cooking time is an indication and depends on the thickness of the piece of meat.
3. Serving
Leg of lamb on the bone is delicious with roasted vegetables, potato gratin or a fresh yoghurt sauce with mint.
