Leg of lamb with bone is a traditional and tasty piece of lamb, originating from Dutch lambs. This meat is known for its juiciness and rich flavor, partly due to the bone, which gives extra depth to the preparation. It is perfect for slow cooking, such as roasting in the oven or slow cooker.

1. Seasoning and searing
Rub the leg of lamb with salt, pepper, garlic and fresh herbs such as rosemary and thyme. Let the meat marinate for at least an hour for extra flavour.

2. Yarn
Preheat the oven to 160°C. Heat a pan with butter and oil and brown the leg of lamb on all sides. Place the meat in an oven dish to a core temperature of approximately 55-60°C for pink and 65-70°C for medium and let it cook for 1.5 to 2.5 hours*.

*The cooking time is an indication and depends on the thickness of the piece of meat.

3. Serving
Leg of lamb on the bone is delicious with side dishes such as roasted potatoes, grilled vegetables or a spicy jus. Pair it with a glass of red wine for the ultimate taste experience.
