1. Herbs and preparation:
- Season and/or stuff the turkey to your own taste. And preheat the oven to 175 degrees.
- Rub the outside of the turkey well with butter.
- Then wrap the turkey well in aluminum foil, but leave some space between the turkey and the aluminum foil at the top, as if you were making a small tent.
2. Yarn: + calculate preparation time
- Place the turkey in the oven.
- For your turkey, allow 20 minutes per 500 grams, including any filling.
Example:
You have a 3 kilo turkey, 6 x 20 minutes is 2 hours in the oven.
Turkey weight in kilos -Time
3 kilos - 2 hours in the oven
4 kilos - 2 hours and 40 minutes in the oven
5 kilos - 3 hours and 20 minutes in the oven
3. Important:
After the cooking time in the oven, open the aluminum foil and leave the turkey in the oven for an additional 20 minutes at the same temperature to get a nice crispy outside.
