Ham steaks are cut from the ham of the pig. The meat is lean and firm in structure, making it suitable for various preparations such as baking, grilling or stir-frying.

1. Seasoning and searing
Season the ham steaks with salt, pepper and possibly paprika powder or curry. Let the meat come to room temperature. Fry the ham steaks on high heat for a nice crust.

2. Yarn
Let the ham steaks cook further on low heat with a dash of water, stock or white wine for a juicy result. You can cook them in the oven or on a grill plate, for example. Make sure they are cooked, but still juicy on the inside.

3. Serving
Serve the ham steaks with rice, potatoes or vegetables for a tasty meal.
